Roofs don't leak in the field. They leak at the details.
Coping is the metal cap that protects the top of a parapet wall. Flashing is what seals every valley, transition and penetration on the roofline. Get either wrong and water finds its way in exactly where the roof meets a wall, a curb or another roof plane.
We fabricate and install metal coping, flashing and steel roofing systems as one coordinated assembly, so the roofline holds up to Ottawa winters, not just the first season.
What this covers.
Metal coping systems
Custom-fabricated coping caps for parapet walls, sealed and sloped to shed water, not collect it.
Flashing & transition details
Every valley, wall transition and joint flashed correctly so water has no path in.
Steel roofing installation
Metal and steel roofing systems installed to manufacturer spec, panel to panel.
Parapet wall capping
Coping and capping detail work on parapet walls, purpose-built for Ottawa's freeze-thaw cycles.
Roof penetration detailing
Curbs, pipes and rooftop mechanical penetrations flashed and sealed back into the roof system.
Reroofing & metal roof repair
Repairing and replacing metal roofing and roofline details on an aging commercial building.
Why it matters.
Field membrane rarely fails. Coping, flashing and transitions are where a roof actually leaks.
Ottawa winters punish a poorly detailed roofline. We fabricate and install for the climate we're actually in.
Coping and flashing fabricated to fit your building, not forced from a generic profile.
An active roof leak gets triaged immediately, day or night.

Straight answers, no runaround.
What is coping and why does it matter?
Coping is the metal cap installed over the top of a parapet wall. It's the first line of defence against water getting behind the wall assembly, so a poorly detailed coping joint is one of the most common sources of a commercial roof leak.
Do you install steel roofing?
Yes, steel roofing systems are part of our regular scope, installed to manufacturer spec with the flashing and coping detailed as one system.
What's the difference between coping and flashing?
Coping caps the top of a parapet wall; flashing seals the transitions, valleys and penetrations elsewhere on the roofline. Both do the same job — keeping water out at the details that take the weather first.
Do you handle roof penetrations for rooftop equipment?
Yes. Every pipe, curb and mechanical penetration gets flashed and sealed back into the roof system so it doesn't become a leak point.
What areas do you serve?
Ottawa and the region: Gatineau, Kanata, Orleans, Nepean, Stittsville and out toward Kemptville. If your site is in the NCR, ask us.
