A wrapped building is only as good as its details.
Cladding is the face of a commercial building and its first line of defence against the weather. We install metal siding and panel systems that are square, sealed and built to the documented spec, not eyeballed on site.
From new builds to recladding an aging envelope, we handle the panels, the trims and the flashing as one system so water has nowhere to get in.
What this covers.
Metal panel & siding
Standing-seam, corrugated and flat-panel metal systems specified to suit the building and the budget.
Recladding
Stripping and re-skinning an aging or failing envelope, with the substrate corrected before the new metal goes on.
Corten & weathering steel
Premium rusted-steel feature cladding for lobbies and facades — the architectural rustic look.
Weather-tight detailing
Closures, trims and sealant details done right so wind-driven rain stays out of the wall assembly.
Insulated systems
Insulated metal panel options where the envelope has to carry a thermal performance spec.
Finish & colour
Factory-finished metal in the profile and colour the drawings call for, matched across the building.
Built to spec, on schedule.
What is on the drawings is what gets built. No substitutions to save a step.
A realistic timeline, then the work that keeps it. We are not the hold-up.
Institutional discipline as standard: records, standards, accountability.
Custom flashing and trims fabricated to fit, so the envelope seals.
Corten & weathering steel. The architectural rustic look.
A rusted-steel face that reads a hundred years old and costs like it's new. We fabricate and install corten and weathering-steel panel systems for lobbies, feature walls and facades built to stand out, not blend in.
Hydro One. School boards. Builders. Property management.
Capital Exterior is run by a tradesman, not a sales team. Our founder started Cover-Tite's metal division, then spent years at Flynn Canada before going out on his own — 15+ years in the building envelope trade.
Straight answers, no runaround.
What cladding systems do you install?
Standing-seam, corrugated and flat-panel metal siding, insulated metal panel systems, and corten weathering-steel feature cladding for commercial buildings.
What is corten or weathering steel?
Corten is a steel alloy that develops a rusted, weathered surface on purpose. It's a premium architectural finish for feature walls and facades that costs like it's new and reads like it's a hundred years old.
Can you reclad an aging building?
Yes. We strip and re-skin an aging or failing envelope, correcting the substrate before the new cladding goes on.
Does cladding tie into the rest of the envelope?
Yes. Cladding is the outer face of a system that includes the air barrier, insulation and roofline behind it — we coordinate all of it so water has nowhere to get in.
What areas do you serve?
Ottawa and the region: Gatineau, Kanata, Orleans, Nepean, Stittsville and out toward Kemptville. If your site is in the NCR, ask us.
